Terms And Conditions

Welcome to Ample Tours' official Website. This website is owned and operated by Ample Tours. If you continue to browse and use this website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms And Conditions of use, which together with our Privacy Policy govern the relationship of Ample Tours with you in relation to this website. If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, please do not use our website. In order to use this website, your age should be above 18 years and have the legal capacity to use this website in accordance with our conditions. As a condition of using this website, you agree that you will not use it or any material or information on it for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by Ample Tours.

Booking Policy

Any of our service/ holiday package booking is accepted only after Ample Tours receives written confirmation from the client along with full payment or a deposit of the total value of the service/ holiday package arrangements. At the time of booking, a client must pay a deposit of at least the following:

In respect of Tailormade/ Bespoke/ One Day/ International holiday packages, 20% non‐refundable deposit of the estimated total cost. The balance of the holiday package price (being the estimated total cost less any deposits paid) must be paid at least 50 days prior to the clients's departure date.

In respect of Side Trips, 100% of the estimated total cost.

In respect of Train Tickets Reservation, please refer to the terms and conditions on the Train Tickets Reservation page of the website.

In respect of Private Tour Driver service, 60% deposit of the estimated total cost. The balance (being the estimated total cost less any deposits paid) must be paid at the start of your tour (first day after your arrival Sri Lanka).

In respect of Taxi service, no deposit is required. 100% of the estimated total cost must be paid at least 10 days prior to the clients's transfer date.

Ample Tours has the right to change the booking policy solely at our discretion. Ample Tours will give proper notice to the client of any variation to the booking policy/ minimum deposit, before the minimum deposit is paid. All the payments must be paid in accordance with our policy. If not, Ample Tours may treat the booking as canceled by a client. In that event, the client agrees that he or she shall not be entitled to a refund of any deposit paid, that deposit will be retained by the company by way of compensation for the time spent and work done by it. Ample Tours shall, however, retain a discretion, to be exercised entirely as it thinks fit, whether to refund all or part or completely not to refund any deposit paid in the event of cancelation in these circumstances. If Ample Tours, at its discretion, determines not to cancel the clients's booking, then the client agrees to pay to the Ample Tours any additional charges, fees or expenses that have been or may be properly incurred as a result of failure to comply with our booking policy. Full payment or the payment of a deposit and your written confirmation will indicate an acceptance of these terms and conditions by you.

Cancelation Policy

Ample Tours must receive written notification from clients of any cancelation of service/ holiday package arrangements and will take effect the day we receive it. The following penalties will apply.

In respect of Tailormade/ Bespoke/ One Day/ International holiday packages, More than 30 days ‐ forfeit of deposit (except any non‐refundable deposits), Between 18 and 30 days ‐ 60% of estimated total cost, 18 or Less than 18 days ‐ no refund.

In respect of Side Trips, More than 14 days ‐ forfeit of deposit (except any non‐refundable deposits), 14 or Less than 14 days ‐ no refund.

In respect of Train Tickets Reservation, please refer to the terms and conditions on the Train Tickets Reservation page of the website.

In respect of Private Tour Driver service, More than 30 days ‐ forfeit of deposit (except any non‐refundable deposits), Between 18 and 30 days ‐ 40% of estimated total cost, 18 or Less than 18 days ‐ no refund.

In respect of Taxi service, More than 10 days ‐ forfeit of deposit (except any non‐refundable deposits), 10 or Less than 10 days ‐ no refund.

Certain accommodation and tour products may apply additional cancelation charges. Our cancelation provisions also hereby override any conflicting cancelation provisions set out by any individual operators or suppliers used by us and their operations beyond our control. Refunding value will be subjected to the prevailing exchange rate and the laws and regulations of the Sri Lanka Government at the date of refunding. When refunding money, banks deduct bank charges, international transaction charges and other related charges from the original refunding value. Ample Tours have the right to change the cancelation policy solely at our discretion. Ample Tours will give proper notice to the client of any variation to the cancelation policy/ refund values, before the client makes any booking/ payment to us.

Holiday Package/ Service Amendment Policy

Before commencing holiday/ service: anytime, a client can alter or cancel his or her travel arrangements. Sometimes it may incur additional costs and not refund initial payments. In some circumstances, we have to make advance payment to service providers (hotels, guides, transportation) in order to secure your booking. They might not be willing to make alterations and cancelations due to their availability and high demand. In that event, Ample Tours is not liable for any losses and not obliged to refund.

After commencing holiday/ service: anytime, a client can alter or cancel his or her travel arrangements. Any alteration or cancelation of services after commencing a holiday/ service can incur penalties. There is no refund for cancelations after commencement of your travel arrangements or on any services not used for any reason. Ample Tours will use our best endeavors and strive to provide all travel arrangements as confirmed. Reasonable changes to the travel arrangements may be made with the notice of client if deemed necessary or advisable by us at our discretion.

Pricing Policy

All the prices are quoted in USD. Prices quoted are appropriate to the time of quoting. All prices are subject to availability and can be withdrawn or varied without notice. In the event of price rises by our suppliers and price variations (exchange rate fluctuations, price increases, tax changes or any other reason), clients must pay the increase when notified by us or clients may cancel the booking, which may result in cancelation charges. Ample Tours is not liable in any way if any increase occurs.

Visa And Passport

Ample Tours doesn't involve arranging Visa and Passport. It is the client's responsibility to have a valid passport, with a minimum of six (06) months validity, and any applicable visa required for the holiday. Ample Tours will not be held responsible for any matter that arises as a result of traveling without the correct travel documents.

Travel Insurance

Ample Tours doesn't involve arranging travel insurance. We strongly recommend taking out comprehensive travel insurance from a reputable company with full indemnity cover for cancelation, disruption, loss of deposit, medical expenses, personal accident(s) and loss of luggage/ personal property (whether by theft or otherwise).

Health

It is the client's (and the other members of his/her group) responsibility to obtain necessary inoculations and medical advice before traveling to Sri Lanka or another country. Ample Tours held not liable for any type of health issue that arises as a result of visiting Sri Lanka or other countries.

Client Behaviour

Behaving in an appropriate and responsible manner is key to a perfect holiday experience. It is a material condition that a client's (and other members of his/her group) behaviour is compatible with the well‐being and general enjoyment of others on your holiday. Clients agree to accept the authority of Ample Tours staff, representatives, and third party supplier's staff, representatives (who provide your holiday arrangements), and at all times comply with their requests and directions. Clients acknowledge that there is zero tolerance to illegal drug use and possession, prostitution, threatening or abusive behaviour, both physical and verbal, risk‐taking and property vandalism. If a client's (or other member of his/her group) behaviour is deemed to have the potential to negatively affect another guest's experience, then Ample Tours and our suppliers, at our discretion, may not let the client continue holiday/ service. If this occurs, the client will be responsible for any costs or claims that are incurred, and the client will not be entitled to any refund for the unused portion of the holiday/ service, and the client also agrees that he or she will have no claim against Ample Tours or our suppliers. Clients will be responsible for any breakages, losses or damage caused by the client (or other member of his/her group) during their stay in the accommodation. It is the client's responsibility to make the right compensation for the damage or to make full payment to the supplier before departure and to indemnify Ample Tours against any losses, damages or claims made against us.

Limitations Of Liability

Ample Tours will only accept liability for incidents that arise as a direct result of our proven negligence in respect of arrangements forming part of your holiday itinerary. Holidays/ Services may involve personal risks. Such risks include illness, injury, death, disease, loss or damage to property, discomfort and inconvenience. The client (and other members of his/her group), in making the booking, accepts such risks and agrees that he or she has made the booking upon the condition that he or she travels at his or her own risk. The client warrants that he or she shall not make any claim against the company for injury or loss, however caused, arising out of the acceptance of such risk.

The location where holidays are conducted, and where services, amenities and facilities may be of a lower standard than the standard to which a client is accustomed. On occasion, certain facilities may not be open or available due to maintenance, weather conditions, power cuts, and lack of demand or for other reasons. In such circumstances, Ample Tours cannot be held responsible for advertised facilities being unavailable.

Holidays/ Services or parts of them are supplied or undertaken by third party operators. Whilst Ample Tours has undertaken due diligence on the quality of the services offered by such third party operators and has been satisfied as to the adequacy of that quality. Therefore, holidays/ services booked with us are subject to the limitations of liability imposed by the underlying operators/ suppliers. Ample Tours cannot be held responsible for any acts or omissions on their part for which we do not have direct responsibility. Ample Tours accept responsibility for ensuring the holidays/ services which booked through us are supplied as described, and we are contractually obliged to provide them to a reasonable standard.

There are instances where it is impossible to fulfill the contract as a result of war, terrorism, epidemic, pandemic, quarantines or any exercise of any applicable medical or customs regulation, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute or lockout, acts of government or other authorities, natural or nuclear disasters, fire or adverse weather conditions and other similar events beyond our control. In such instances, Ample Tours shall not be liable for compensation where we are forced to cancel, delay, curtail or change your holiday in any way or where our performance of the contract is affected or prevented.

There may be instances where alternative accommodation or services may need to be provided. In such instances, Ample Tours will arrange similar or superior standard alternatives.

Ample Tours reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms And Conditions, in whole or in part, at any time. We'll display all changes on our website or communicate via email. Regularly reviewing this page ensures that clients are always aware of changes. Continued use of the service following such notice of any change to the Terms and Conditions constitutes the client's acceptance of those changes. All changes will come into effect on the date it is displayed.
