Kithulgala is a small town covered with rainy forests, one of the wettest areas of the country. The village is very rich in bio diversity, and it is a perfect place for nature lovers. Kithulgala is the place where the Oscar award‐winning movie “Bridge on the River Kwai” was filmed (in 1957). Nowadays, Kithulgala and its jungles are well famous for adventure sports.
The main attraction of the area is White Water Rafting, where you can ride the tides of Kelani river. Other than that, it is popular for sports like Stream Sliding, Waterfall Abseiling, Confidence Jump and Jungle Trekking. Activities like Bird Watching, Bath In Natural Pools, Cave Exploration and River Expeditions are also available.
This one‐day tour is ideal for thrill seekers and those who are looking for extreme adventure in a day.
In the morning, your guide will meet you at your preferred start location and take you to the Kithulgala Adventure Camp. Then you will go for White Water Rafting at Kelani river. Modern rafts are well‐equipped with all the safety gear. Rafting takes around 1.5 hours to run (distance around 5km) with five main rapids (graded 2 and 3) and some minor rapids.
After you come back you can do the following optional activities as your next part of this adventure trip. You can select any of them based on your desire.

At the end of the tour, we'll drop you at the location where we picked you up in the morning or any other location you request.
